Development storyThis Empire Strikes Back hanging display is a rare example of a Kenner merchandising idea that advanced far enough to appear in company trade material but still never reached normal retail use. An early version was shown in Kenner’s 1981 Toy Fair catalog, indicating that the company was actively presenting the concept to the trade rather than merely experimenting privately.
