Development storyThe Imperial Outpost was Kenner thinking at the largest possible scale just as the original Star Wars line was approaching its end. The concept artwork combines recognizable ideas from all three films into one enormous Imperial environment: Death Star-style gun turrets, Hoth’s ion-cannon imagery, and Endor bunker and shield-generator elements.
