Development storyFor years, the early Power Droid prototype was almost a ghost in the collecting world. Collectors knew the strange early design from a late-1970s Kenner catalog issued in Germany, but the physical model itself seemed to have vanished. The trail eventually led back to a former Kenner designer, who discovered the prototype while cleaning boxes in his attic. That discovery also revealed how much had already been lost.
