Development storyR5-D4’s sticker prototype is a wonderful example of Kenner solving a practical development problem with an in-house production shortcut. By the late 1970s, Kenner was using silk-screening to create printed prototype material without having to send every experimental graphic to an outside commercial printer — a process that would have been slower and more expensive for one-off mock-ups and photo samples.
