Development storyWalrusman Unpainted Hardcopy Arm Pair is a piece of the toy before the finished toy existed. Hardcopies and related pre-tooling forms were durable working casts made from the sculpting process, used to preserve detail, evaluate the design and help carry it toward production tooling. Hardcopies were cast in urethane from silicone molds as an intermediate tooling stage before production steel molds. The surviving Walrus Man arm pair preserves sharper pre-production sculpt detail than the final retail figure.…
