Development storyLuke Skywalker’s X-Wing Outfit was a natural candidate for Kenner’s large-size wardrobe program because the flight suit was one of the character’s most recognizable alternate looks from the original film. At 12-inch scale, the costume could be treated as actual clothing rather than simply sculpted plastic, giving Kenner an opportunity to turn one base Luke doll into a very different on-screen version.
