Yoda Hand Puppet

The Yoda Hand Puppet brought the breakout Empire Strikes Back character into Kenner’s character-toy assortment as a performative hand puppet rather than a conventional figure. Its value today comes from the combination of recognizable character appeal, unusual toy format and the difficulty of finding soft-material pieces that escaped heavy play, staining or deformation. Collector grading should consider fabric or vinyl condition, facial paint, seams, internal hand structure, tags and original packaging separately. The puppet is a distinct product from Yoda figures and role-play items even though all portray the same character, because its intended interaction, construction and display behavior are fundamentally different. This First Issue is cataloged separately because its year, packaging or offer state is collector-relevant. Ranney Rank follows the underlying physical product unless a documented construction change exists; Collector Index and market confidence remain release-specific.
