Star Wars Give-A-Show Projector
Kenner issued Star Wars Give-A-Show Projector in the United States in 1979 as the first documented U.S. issue of this product/configuration. The Star Wars Give-A-Show Projector adapted Kenner’s established projector toy into a miniature home cinema experience using Star Wars slides. The product appears in the 1979 retailer catalog and was important enough to receive a Department Store Program Special Offer containing sixteen additional slides. That bonus set should be treated as a distinct package configuration rather than a different projector. Complete examples require the projector, every intended slide strip or slide, instructions and any offer-specific extras. Step 2 should later assess image quality, ease of focusing and storytelling value, while Step 3 separates working bulbs/mechanisms from complete but nonfunctional displays. This First Issue is cataloged separately because its year, packaging or offer state is collector-relevant. Ranney Rank follows the underlying physical product unless a documented construction change exists; Collector Index and market confidence remain release-specific. 1979 retailer catalog product; Department Store Program Special Offer added 16 extra slides. Kenner Canada and Australia examples documented.
