Star Wars Dip Dots

The 1977 U.S. Star Wars Dip Dots set is the documented First Issue of Kenner’s Star Wars version of its dot-painting activity. It belongs to the small group of products Kenner could place on shelves before the better-known 3¾-inch figures and vehicles were ready. Later retailer catalogs continued to carry Dip Dots into 1979, but the evidence presently supports continued availability rather than a distinct U.S. repackaged edition. This release is therefore the canonical U.S. record. Because its paints, applicators and paper designs were meant to be consumed in play, unused completeness and clean original packaging are unusually important to collector condition and value.
