Chewbacca

BASA locally manufactured this licensed large-size Chewbacca in Peru circa 1981–82 using its own molds and blow-molding process. The result is physically distinct from Kenner’s U.S. figure: lighter, slightly shorter, with simplified bandolier and smaller weapon, plus BASA-specific closed-box artwork. Final Territory Certification correction: surviving evidence places this locally manufactured BASA large-size figure circa 1981-82, so the prior exact 1980 value was over-precise. Exact first Peru retail year is recorded as Unknown.
