Jawa Bop Bag
The Jawa Bop Bag is arguably the strangest member of Kenner’s early punching-bag line. Like R2-D2, it was sold in the shorter approximately 36-inch 'Lil Bopper' format, using a weighted base to return upright after being hit. The product is also represented in surviving Kenner concept and mock-up material, which must remain separate from normal retail variations. Because the Jawa is a relatively minor film character, the fact that Kenner devoted a large-format novelty toy to it illustrates how aggressively the company expanded Star Wars across its existing toy categories. Seam integrity, printing condition and base function will dominate surviving-condition analysis. This First Issue is cataloged separately because its year, packaging or offer state is collector-relevant. Ranney Rank follows the underlying physical product unless a documented construction change exists; Collector Index and market confidence remain release-specific.
