Chewbacca Bop Bag

Chewbacca was the other tall character in Kenner’s Star Wars 'Big Bopper' punching-bag assortment. The approximately 50-inch inflatable toy used a weighted base to spring upright after being hit, combining character graphics with the familiar self-righting bop-bag format. Although the mechanical concept is shared with Darth Vader, the character art and physical product are distinct enough to warrant their own index records. Complete condition is unusual because inflation valves, seams and base weight systems degrade over decades. Step 2 should later judge stability and visual appeal, while Step 3 distinguishes unused boxed examples from inflated display pieces and repaired bags.
