Kenner Star Wars Cardback & Release Era Guide
Cardback language is shorthand for release history. A 12-back, 20-back, 21-back, ESB 31-back, ROTJ 65-back or POTF 92-back can identify a very different collecting context even when the character is the same.
The number generally refers to the figure assortment pictured on the back of a card, but collector shorthand can hide important differences in offers, logo era, retailer distribution and territory.
