This notice concerns the Ranney Index Master homepage and its general contact service. Separate research indexes may publish additional policies covering accounts, paid memberships, saved research, and other features.

Information you provide

If you contact us, we receive the name, email address, subject, and message you choose to submit. We use that information to respond, handle follow-up correspondence, maintain appropriate business records, and protect the contact service from abuse. Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers, or unnecessary sensitive personal information through the contact form.

Technical information and analytics

Hosting and security providers may process information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request timestamps, error logs, and similar technical data needed to deliver and protect the site. Where analytics are used, they help us understand aggregate usage and improve the website.

Accounts and subject memberships

Ranney Index may maintain a free account and separate subject-specific memberships for any indexes a person chooses to join. Records may include the account email, applicable subject, access status, payment source, complimentary grant, renewal or expiration information and prior membership history. Access expiring does not automatically erase the account or the record of a past entitlement. Account and billing information is managed according to the specific index service and applicable legal requirements.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize personal information submitted through Ranney Index services, and do not disclose it to advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated marketers.
