A growing library of independent research archives—built to preserve the details, explain the evidence, and make specialized knowledge easier to explore.

What we do

Ranney Index brings together focused research projects that document the history, design, engineering, distribution, and significance of products, technologies, and cultural artifacts. Each index combines structured records with historical context and independently developed editorial analysis.

How we approach research

We aim to distinguish verified records from estimates, reports, and unresolved questions. Research is refined as new evidence becomes available. Where a conclusion is uncertain, we strive to explain that uncertainty rather than present a guess as fact.

Our editorial work is independent. References to companies, products, or trademarks do not imply an affiliation or endorsement.

Our growing collection

The Vintage Kenner Star Wars Index is the first available archive, covering production releases, international distribution, variants, development history, and collector research. Research for a separate Humanoid Robotics Index is underway.

Each archive has its own research standards, features, access arrangements, and applicable terms. The Master homepage introduces these archives; it does not replace their individual services.
